Pawzfest 2008 details........More to Follow

Do you like to Scrapbook????? Come join Krista Ambrose with Creative Memories and get scrapbook ideas and lessons. Krista has been a vendor at Pawzfest every year since we started. We would love to see you stop by her booth and thank her for her continued support of WCHS.

Don't have a dog of your own? Then come on down, we will have dogs there that are in need of a home at Pawzfest. You can meet some of the wonderful dogs and the staff. Some of the dogs will be from the Wyandot County Humane Society and some will be from other shelters such as....Richland County Humane Society, and Buckeye Border Collie Rescue.

We will also have doggy bags for sale at the registration table for $25.00-filled with donations from Hills Science Diet, Nilodor Shampoo, a various other items.

We will also have Dominos Pizza available for a small donation around lunch time.

Need a pet id tag?  We will have a tag engraver at Pawzfest where you can choose from multiple designs and fonts.

Raffle tickets will be sold before and during the event. Some of the prizes so far are: a gift basket from OSU, $25.00 gift certificate to the Steer Barn, a pet shampoo basket from Headlines, a vacuum cleaner from BISSELL INC, signed sports memorabilia from the Pittsburgh Steelers, and other items will be listed later on.

Contests for dogs-Best Costume!! Best tail wag, and more!!

What a fun day!  Now can we nap?
Notes from last year's Pawzfest:

Pawzfest 2007 was our best ever -- the day was beautiful, the dogs had fun, we received a van full of cat food and cat litter donations, and we raised almost $2,000 for the animals at the shelter!

Golden Collar School for Dogs demonstrated feats of canine agility, Mary Head was onhand to help participants create personalized stuffed animals, Domino's Pizza of Upper Sandusky provided pizza and breadsticks (not to mention all of the wonderful baked goods provided by our staff and volunteers!), and we couldn't have asked for a better event!

Our raffle grand prizes were 4 tickets to Cedar Point, an Olympus digital camera, and a stainless steel portable gas grill.

To top it off, staff member Becky Brucker brought her whole family to help us show off some of the fabulous dogs available for adoption at WCHS -- we hope that we will see many adoptions as a result of Pawzfest!

If you weren't able to make it to the park, we hope to see you next year!
