How Can You Help
Equines In Need?
_______________________________________________________________________________
Alert local authorities or your local humane society when you see a horse, donkey or mule that you believe is in need.
We need people with horse trailers or people who can otherwise assist us in hauling horses in rescue situations.
If you have a horse or other equine that you can no longer keep, consider surrendering it to a rescue rather than selling it at auction.
Adopt or rescue an equine rather than buying one.
Do not breed your equines -- true, nothing is cuter than a foal, but thousands of foals go to slaughter every year and you could save one from that horror.
If you can't adopt an equine, consider sponsoring one (see our Sponsor an Equine page for details)
Donate any of your old or unused horse supplies (halters, blankets, etc.) to your local horse rescue.
Donate funds to your local
horse rescue. Every penny donated is greatly needed and
appreciated.
Please call us at (419)294-4477 for more information about the WCHS
Equine Rescue Program or any equine-related issues, or e-mail us at
