For surrendering animals:

For viewing animals available for adoption:
Monday - Thursday 1-5 pm
Saturday 11am -2 pm

For HOPE spay/neuter program:
Appointments made Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-1pm
Animals with surgery appointments taken in
8-9 am the morning of surgery or 5-7 pm the night before surgery.

The Wyandot County Humane Society (WCHS) is the only shelter of its kind in the Northwest/Northcentral Ohio region. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for taking in animals (our preferred animal intake hours are 7 am - 11 pm, 7 days a week, but there is always a volunteer on duty overnight when after-hours surrender of an animal is necessary). We never turn any animal away, regardless of the kind of animal (domestic animals, wildlife, livestock, exotics), what county it is from or the reason it has to be surrendered. In addition, there is never any charge for surrendering an animal (although donations are always appreciated!).
WCHS is also home to its sister organization, the only low-cost spay/neuter program in the area, HOPE (Helping Our Pets Everywhere). HOPE is open to everyone, regardless of level of income or county of residence. Our prices range from $20 - $30 for cats and $30 - $70 for dogs. Call (419)294-4477 for more information.
